The third edition of the Egg Festival took place this April at the headquarter of OPT SurgiSystems. The event involved children from the local kindergartens and elementary schools of Calliano. More than 70 children and some guests of the Villa Maria have participated at the event and had no limits for their creativity.
The theme chosen for this year was “The Flags of the World” and for one day OPT became a coloured ground with the flags of all the countries that symbolize Peace and Union of the nations.

Currently the eggs decorate various important buildings of Calliano: at the Primary School “De Valentini”, the City Hall and the front office of the Bank Cassa Rurale.
At the end of the “Egg Festival” children and guests of the Villa Maria have received as a gift pencils with seeds. When the pencil becomes too short after the sharpening it can be planted in the ground thus sprouting a beautiful flower Myosotis, that are commonly called forget-me-nots.
